2017 NFB of Kentucky Technology and Business Symposium
The 2017 NFB Kentucky Technology and Business Symposium is now in the books, but we will be back next year! Todd Stephens, Michael Freholm and Angela Dehart, Presidents of the Technology Assistance Division (TAD), Entrepreneur Division and National Association Promoting the Use of Braille (NAPUB), respectively, want to extend our deepest gratitude to our presenters, vendors and to you, our audieance. NFB Kentucky TAD Receives The 2014 Robert E. Whitehead Award
Who was Robert E. Whitehead, and what is the Robert E. Whitehead Award? Well, let us tell you a bit about Robert E. Whitehead. Robert (Bob) E. Whitehead was the second sitting president of the NFB Kentucky affiliate. This award is presented to an affiliate chapter or division that strives to build membership in the organization . The chapter or division is also actively changing the public's perceptions about blindness through innovative projects and community outreach.

NFB of Kentucky TAD Convention Raffle
Congratulations to Denise Carnes who was the recipient of our 2017 TAD raffle, The Triple Play. You go, Denise!
The TAD Triple play included a "Legendary stay, dine and play package", which was donated to TAD by our good friends fromCaesars/ Horseshoe Southern Indiana. In addition, the 2017 TAD raffle includes two football tickets - Cats vs. Ole Miss on November 4th donated by our friends from UK Athletics and $50 in cash from TAD to ease the pain of your travel expenses, just a tad. Tickets will be $5 per chance or 3 for $10! Sandra Williams and Hellena Emery will have your potential winning ticket, so please see them at convention to make your purchase. Remember, you can't win, if you don't make your purchase!

TAD Membership Dues
Please note, if you choose to pay your TAD dues online, you must first, enter in a dollar amount under "Item Price". TAD dues is $5 per person per year. After you enter in your desired dollar amount i.e. 5.00, 10.00, then press the "Update" button. Under "Item Total", you should see that field updated to your specified amount. Then, you can proceed to the payment section by either logging into your Pay Pal account or registering as a guest to make your payment.
