2024 NFB Kentucky TAD Symposium twelvth Annual
The NFB Kentucky affiliate's Technology Assistance Division (TAD) will take place on November 1, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn NE, Louisville, KY from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
This year, we will have an abbreviated program due to our Senior Symposium being held the day prior on October 31st (invitation only) also taking place at the Hilton Garden Inn NE for those 55 years and older. No worries, we will still have some exciting stuff for you this year with outstanding professionals in their respective fields. Without further ado, a summary of our 2024 symposium is directly below for your review.
We will be introducing a new contributor this year in One Court. One Court is the very first to provide a sports tactual broadcast. To read more about them, please seeOne Court
Another first-timer will be Envision AI, a company making it possible for the blind and low vision to receive valuable information about their environment through accessible Smart Glasses available in both iOS and Android app interface. To read more about them, please see Envision AI

The TAD team will be doing something that is a little unique this year! Our team will be presenting on gaming technology that is completeley accessible to blind and low vision gamers. Members of the NFB Kentucky Technology Assistance Division will not only demo the gaming technology, but we will also provide you with an opportunity to experience for yourself, should time allow.
NFB-NEWSLINE® will be our final agenda item of the day. Lora and Todd Stephens will be presenting on this accessible, audio reading service with hundreds of publications right at your fingertips. We will also highlight the features and various access methods to interface with the service. TAD Raffle

NFB Kentucky TAD Receives The 2014 Robert E. Whitehead Award
Who was Robert E. Whitehead, and what is the Robert E. Whitehead Award? Well, let us tell you a bit about Robert E. Whitehead. Robert (Bob) E. Whitehead was the second sitting president of the NFB Kentucky affiliate. This award is presented to an affiliate chapter or division that strives to build membership in the organization . The chapter or division is also actively changing the public's perceptions about blindness through innovative projects and community outreach.
